for what comfort it gives Patti know this: a. some of us have been right where you are in Life 101 with this type thing and we stayed sober. I lost my Mom May 8th 2006 to 6 weeks later we lost my father in law to cancer of the pancreas. Neither was pretty and both took 6 weeks or so to pass on b. We lost a 18 yr old son May 3rd 98. didnt drink then either. this isnt because, the not drinking part, due to any strength i have. i almost didnt make it at all 6 months after my son died. What saved me was the Fellowship of AA and my sponsor.
