7bit Thanks Bill.? I do believe that because AA helps us to connect to that Higher Power.? A conscious contact.? I have been thinking about the Grace of God lately.? I often hear people say, by the Grace of God certain things did not happen to them or their loved ones while they were out there drinking.? I did not go to jail, I did not get a DUI, I did not lose?my family, I did not die.? This is true for my life but I am not sure that was the Grace of God.? I think it was just circumstances.? Maybe the Grace?of someone else's God.? I do not feel like the Grace of God touched me and not my sister who is struggling to get her children back or in jail or dead.? Why me and not them?? ?I think that I just happend to be in a different situation.? Had I been born into their? circumstances or walked in their shoes I would be there too.? It was nothing I did or God did.? What I do think though is that once we get to AA, we can discover the Grace of God and it is then that it touches our lives.? I think Bill W. and Dr. Bob were touched by the Grace of God when they found each other and the 1st 100 were touched by the Grace of God when they wrote the Big Book.? And everyone who reads it has the opportunity to be touched by the Grace of God and carry the message and give others the opportunity to be touched by the Grace of God.?
