Re: Finding the one

8bit This is true. I know some VERY stubborn (to the point of being rude and inconsiderate) people and they're all unmarried. But dangit they're HAPPY! lol BF is just starting to learn that he doesn't always get his way (he was single for almost 7 years) and oh he has his tantrums! And he has the tendency (or more so used to) to talk down to me and I just start with the "You know, I'm so sorry I'm not as superior and perfect as you. I really do TRY to be but no one can in fact be AS perfect as you!" and then I bow to him. He's getting it. LOL Candace Marie wrote: You all are just plain funny! But I can think of what is good about having a man around... it keeps us from getting our own way and thinking only our own thoughts tooooo much. In my family there are 2 children who married and 2 who did not. The same in my Dh's. So just from observation, my boys are now convinced that marrying is the way to go. The 4 who did not marry - nor have children - have had so much time and freedom to become set in their ways that they have become somewhat unpleasant. It's not at all that the marrieds are more put together; rather that we just don't have the ability to get our way all the time and always think we are right. This serves to mitigate our selfish inclinations and humbles us. We have to keep compromsing and working at getting along in order to fit into the group dynamic. You two have kids, which serves this purpose in your lives. And there are certainly many singles who have other circumstances that serve that same purpose. But for some .... having a spouse would work wonders. .... but for the rest .... step stools work great! Marie Oh, yes... and we should put a section in our CONTROL JOURNALS that reminds us why being single or being married is good for us. ----- Original Message ---- From: Tabby Timar To: Sent: Wednesday, April 23, 2008 1:09:49 PM Subject: RE: Finding "the one" :) OK, my devilish nature forces me to give my answers to your response.
