I see a huge difference in HAVING A THOUGHT, such as "stop hitting that child" and HAVING A BELIEF that the person SHOULD NOT be hitting the child and they are. Now you are arguing with What Is and you are irritated, angered, etc.. I could have a thought and act upon that thought without the story that reality should be different than what it is. I could have a thought that the Republican Party has %# up our country and I could go out and vote Democratic, but if I believe that Republican's should not have %# up our country, I am insane in that moment.
