Hi Lee, Last year, my spinal chord swelled and it was so excrutiating that I laid on the floor where I fell and did not move for 9 days. Yes ... you can imagine some of the issues that go along with not moving. We did not have the paramedics get me because the pain that would have caused was not an option to me. I wanted to die before ever moving again. They drugged me up and I remember very little of that time. Your cats won't die if you don't feed them. But you might be able to knock over the feed bag and let the cats get it themselves if the bag is on the floor. If the bag is within reach, you could feed them on top of the counter. (Just clean well, later.) I"m so sorry you are going through this. I really hope you get some relief quickly. Marie p.s. Now, I stretch every day to help preserve my bulging discs in my neck.
