8bit I agree, if your cats get up on tables as most do, just put their food on a table on a regular saucer, with water in a small bowl. If they don't get on tables, I bet they'd get up on a chair if their food was on it! If not, you might put them on the stairs temporarily if you have stairs in your house; depending on the style of your stairs you might not have to bend at all but if you do it's less, at least.
