Re: [Digital Nuts] - Tanya
Are you anywhere near Roseburg? From: tanya Sent: Friday, April 25, 2008 6:09 AM To: Subject: RE: [Digital Nuts] About Me - Tana Tana Welcome as a new moderator! Had to stop my self from typing my own name in the heading of this its a natural typing stroke to add a y after the N for me! I loved looking at your horse photography and your collage was great as well. I too live in Oregon but in the Rogue Valley on the bottom of the map instead of the top! Almost neighbors. I have enjoyed your work and hope to get to know better. I am going to be going to that Equestrain Center a lot. There is also one that has opened up by a park in WPB that is just for quarter horses. They are put through their pases there in the rings, or so I am told. I was amazed that i was able to get all my shots with my 24-120Vr lens. I guess that is because this place is so up close and personal.I had carried a longer lens, but never put it on, and my friend who was using here 80-200Vr lens sometimes had just too much lens. yes , I do know about slow mornings. :-) One thing is that I always make myself workout at least 5 days a week...and at least one of those days is weight is unless I am having a flair up.When I was a kid, My aunt , who also had RA, told me that I should always try to keep moving and force myself to do things. She was a bit spartan, but I do try to exercise, but with the modifications I need. Bethany, your comments under paintings have always made me feel welcome and appreciated! >> >> I am a divorced 59 year old, and due to advanced rheumatoid arthritis I am disabled. I've had joints in my right hand welded so they don't bend, (yes, it sometimes causes me trouble with my pen on my Wacom tablet, dropping it and pushing the button at the wrong time in my grip.) 4 surgeries on my feet, one hip replaced and the other due anytime... so I'm slow to unfold in the morning, but once I get going and stay warm I get on ok. Up until a year ago I still rode in competitive events like "Drill-Flag team competitions and team penning and cattle sorting." My son Reese has come by his love of horses honestly and enjoys competing in both ranch sorting and team penning. Handing down the love of quarter horses to his own daughter Jobi Tate, at the tender age of 5 she won her first Reserve Champion Buckle. And at six her first Championship. This group has become the center of my on-line fun as I really get a thrill when I see the totally different renderings people offer from the very same photo. As individual as we each are, so is our art. I appreciate all of you who have answered questions for me and guided me towards becoming better with my own work. Always know that I appreciate critiques, even if our art work is our "babies", I'd love to know how to make mine better. >> >> I hope that being a moderator will give me the chance to stay in touch with you all and maybe even help some other newbie with something I have learned from our happy group! >> >> If you are one of those who enjoys these "who I am" letters like I do, you can see a photo of me (2 years ago is the most current I have on there) in my collage under the Who's Who Gallery... >> My home page web site is (two lazy two - being our brand ). >> >> That's me in a nut-shell - (appropriate!) >> Thanks for allowing me to drone on... >> Tana >> >> >> [Non-text portions of this message have been returnd] >> >> >> >> >> Mod Squad: >> Bethany ) >> Bari ) >> Chris ) >> Tana ) >> Alice ) >> Karen ) >> >> Instructions for uploading to Pbase here: >> Group Search Engine: >> PBase: >> Yahoo!
